Ready to take your skincare creations to the next level? Olive-derived squalane is a vegan cosmetic active loved for its unmatched emollient and hydrating properties. Think of it as a feather-light oil that deeply nourishes without leaving a trace of grease.

Use it anywhere: face serums, hair oils, creams, massage and body oils. Every skin type loves it, but dry and dehydrated skin will thank you most.

What it does

  • Restores a radiant, supple, and silky complexion

  • Balances sebum production and refines the look of pores, lines, and wrinkles for a smoother skin texture

  • Provides deep hydration by supporting the skin’s natural lipid barrier

  • Protects from pollution and oxidative stress—the culprits behind premature aging

  • Strengthens and protects hair by sealing in moisture

  • Ideal for makeup formulations: improves pigment distribution with a smooth, non-greasy finish

  • How to use

Squalane is an oil-phase active and can be used just like a carrier oil for facial, body, or hair care—either pure or blended.
Always perform a patch test before first use.

    Add a few drops to:

    • Facial, body, or hair serums

    • Facial or body butters

    • Finished moisturizers or eye creams (use sparingly to avoid destabilizing emulsions)

  • Good to know

Squalane is obtained by hydrogenating squalene, a natural compound found in olive oil and even in our own skin’s sebum. The process requires no solvents and produces a stable, skin-identical emollient. Olive remains one of the most sustainable sources compared to other crops such as rice, sugarcane, or palm.

Fun fact: Olive-derived squalane has been used since the 1980s as an ethical, plant-based alternative to animal-sourced (mainly shark) squalane. A small but meaningful evolution in cosmetic science.
