How long will it take to see results?Herbal remedies take time. Most formulas require consistent use over a few weeks, sometimes longer. You won’t be left guessing though—our clinical herbalist will walk you through what to expect and when.
-
Are your products safe for sensitive skin? Most of them are, yes. Products made especially for sensitive skin are noted as such—they’re typically soothing, gentle, and balm-like. When in doubt, reach out. We’re happy to help guide your choice.
-
Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?Always cruelty-free and never tested on animals—only willing humans. Many products are vegan; if not, we clearly say so. We also do our best to avoid common allergens wherever possible.
-
What’s the shelf life of your products? Each product is marked with the “open jar” symbol, followed by a number and the letter M (for months). For example, 12M means the product should be used within 12 months after opening. Fermented items and fresh preparations from The Mad Fermenter have a shorter shelf life and are meant to be used promptly for best results. If an oil arrives rancid (rare, but it can happen), we’ll happily replace it. But if it’s been sitting around for months or stored in poor conditions, that’s a different story. Proper care makes all the difference.
-
What ingredients are in each product? Each product lists its ingredients clearly, using either INCI format or plain language when INCI isn’t required. We’re fully transparent and committed to disclosing what’s inside—nothing hidden, nothing vague.
-
What if the product doesn’t work for me?Due to the nature of small-batch herbal goods, we can’t accept returns. However, if you’re unsatisfied, we offer store credit when you donate the product back to us. We’ll repurpose it in our community wellness programs, so nothing goes to waste—and someone else may benefit. Everyone wins.
-
Do you offer samples or trial sizes? Most standard products are available for testing at the wellness centre. For custom preparations, we can start with a smaller size so you can see how it feels before committing to a larger batch.
