A PLASTIC TUBE, WHAAAT?
The ideal vision for this product was, of course, to offer it in a cardboard tube! And it's not for lack of trying! But a common problem cropped up: we couldn't find a supplier of good quality cardboard tubes, accessible for our quantities and at a realistic price... we wanted to avoid having to sell our balms at $20 and up (yes, you read that right).
Additionally, since lip balms are usually quite greasy, cardboard tubes tend to deteriorate over time, making them unsuitable for use until the end of the product.
However, the tube is reusable! That's awesome!
This situation perfectly exemplifies one of the constant challenges small biz and entrepreneurs face. But we don't give up, we keep looking, every time!
