Spring Cleaning... For the Body in 3 Steps

After a long winter season, we eagerly await the arrival of spring temperatures that signal renewal. Many of us tend to do a thorough spring cleaning of our homes at the start of April to refresh our space. But what if we also took the time to care for our bodies with a spring cleaning routine? After our extended hibernation, it’s time to give ourselves some attention and prepare our bodies for sunnier days ahead!


We’re excited to share our favorite spring care routine. Seasonal transitions are always peculiar times, and our skin often reacts in unexpected ways, whether in autumn or spring.

Why a “spring cleaning for the body” routine?


During winter, our skin takes quite a beating from the weather. Cold winds and the heating in our cozy homes dry out our skin significantly. With the drop in ambient humidity, our epidermis, the outermost layer of our skin, becomes dry and starts to crack.


But don’t worry, we have the perfect solution to this pesky problem. We’ve prepared a simple spring body care routine for you, consisting of three mini recipes to pamper yourself:


  • A bath milk

  • An exfoliating butter

  • A body serum


Step 1: The Bath Milk

The first step is to soak in a bath to soften any dead skin. Admittedly, describing it that way doesn’t sound very appealing—haha—but it’s incredibly effective nonetheless!


A bath milk designed to hydrate the skin and aid exfoliation. Its key ingredients are aloe powder and coconut milk powder. Aloe powder is excellent for preventing skin dryness and repairing the skin, thanks to its moisturizing properties. Coconut milk powder is rich in vitamins and antioxidants, offering nourishing benefits for your bath!


Step 2: Foaming Exfoliating Butter


The second step is exfoliating your body directly in the bathtub with a foaming exfoliating butter to remove accumulated dead skin.

This step can also be done with a loofah, making sure to scrub from the bottom up (towards the heart). In addition to exfoliating the skin, the mechanical action will stimulate blood circulation—a two-in-one benefit!

We recommend this fantastic exfoliating butter recipe, which can be used right in the tub. Its key ingredients? Beetroot powder (hydrating and rich in vitamins C and E, which help maintain skin elasticity) and mango butter (highly emollient and soothing). Truly irresistible!


Step 3: Body Serum

The final step, the serum, will nourish your beautifully refreshed and smooth skin. Goodbye, rough texture! Always apply the serum right after showering on damp skin. If you typically use a moisturizer, apply it after the serum has been absorbed.


This serum is made with hemp seed oil, a wonderful local resource rich in essential fatty acids that support skin elasticity. A touch of mango butter ensures a velvety and soft finish!
