  • CONTRAINDICATIONS

Pregnancy & Nursing: While risks are reduced with topical use, certain essential oils—like clary sage—can still have hormonal effects even when absorbed through the skin.

Circulatory Issues: Horse chestnut extract is known for its impact on blood circulation, though external application is less likely to cause systemic effects. Individuals with clotting disorders may still want to use caution.

Neurological Sensitivity: Essential oils like ylang-ylang and clary sage can be stimulating or sedative—while unlikely in small doses, those with epilepsy or neurological conditions may still want to apply sparingly.

Photosensitivity: Some citrus essential oils, like neroli, can increase sensitivity to UV exposure, though dilution in fractionated coconut oil helps mitigate this risk.
